That’s also possible for groups of up to 35 people, provided there are enough places available. This is a good option if you’re flexible about departure times and don’t prioritise a private setting.
The skipper knows the canals well and ensures the trip runs smoothly in both cases. Along the way, you’ll hear more about famous spots in the city, such as historic canal-side houses, bridges and special locations along the water.
The route through Amsterdam’s canals
During your canal cruise, you’ll sail past a number of well-known spots in the city. Think of the Magere Brug, the Royal Theatre Carré and the canals in the canal belt. We’ll also choose quieter parts of the city, where you’ll experience Amsterdam in a different way.
If you opt for a private boat, the route is flexible. Within the booked sailing time, the skipper can tailor the route to your wishes. Would you like to sail past the Jordaan, for example, or perhaps take a stretch along the Amstel? We’ll work with you to see what’s possible.
If you join a regular canal cruise, you’ll follow a set route past the city’s main highlights.
Choose how long you want to sail
Our boats depart daily between 09:00 and 22:00 from the jetty in the centre of Amsterdam. This makes it easy to choose a time that suits your schedule. For a group of 35 people, you can choose from various sailing times:

A 2-hour cruise takes you on a lovely trip past Amsterdam’s main canals and highlights. If you opt for 2.5 or 3 hours, there’s more time for a leisurely drink, a longer route or an extra stretch along the Amstel.

Snacks and drinks during the cruise
For many groups, a boat trip through Amsterdam is the perfect opportunity to enjoy drinks together. That’s why we can have drinks chilled and ready for you in advance. Think beer, wine and soft drinks, so you can enjoy them as soon as you step on board.
Would you like something to eat during the cruise? There are several options:
- A generously filled snack platter
- A pizza boat with freshly served pizza
- A pancake boat
- A bespoke lunch or dinner
We’ll discuss everything with you in advance to ensure it suits your group and the occasion. Would you prefer to bring your own food or drinks? That’s fine too. We charge a corkage fee of € 4 per person per hour for this. Do you have any special requests or dietary preferences within the group? Let us know, and we’ll be happy to look into the options.

If you opt for a private cruise, you hire the entire boat. If you join a regular cruise, you pay per person and sail along a fixed route. Would you like to add something extra to the cruise, such as drinks or lunch on board? We’ll arrange it in advance, so everything is ready on departure and you can relax and enjoy the trip. Boarding point and accessibility
The Mokumboot boarding point is centrally located near Amsterdam Central Station (Stationsplein 28). This makes the location easily accessible by both public transport and car. For groups, boarding at the NEMO Science Museum may also be possible by arrangement. Our boats are within walking distance of public transport. Pushchairs are allowed on board and service animals are welcome. Please note that the boats are not wheelchair accessible.
