On this legendary day, we’ll take you on a wonderful journey across the water. Our authentic Mokum skippers know exactly where to go and will sail you past the most beautiful and lively spots in the city.
We depart from Amsterdam Central Station and cruise past well-known highlights and hidden gems. Which route we take? That depends on the crowds and the atmosphere on the water, so every cruise is just a little different.

King’s Day might just be the best day of the year to hit the water. At Mokumboot, you can rent a sloop for 8 people for €495, and no boating license is required! You get to enjoy your sloop for the entire day, meaning you can celebrate on the water for 6 hours. Pick-up is available between 10:00 and 12:00, and after a short instruction, you’re good to go! Bring your own snacks and drinks and toast to the king.

Luxury Boat with skipper on King’s Day
King’s Day without a boat is like bitterballen without mustard. Sure, it’s possible – but why would you? Do it right and celebrate like royalty from the water!
For anyone looking to rent a boat carefree with a larger group, we offer a luxury open sloop or tugboat with skipper. These spacious boats can accommodate up to 35 people and depart in two time slots:
Time slot 1: 10:00 – 14:00
Time slot 2: 15:00 – 19:00
With this package*, you rent the boat including skipper for €2,900. Bringing your own music is allowed, but a speaker is not included. It is possible to rent a speaker for €200, available exclusively for the morning shift (time slot 1). This package also gives you the freedom to bring your own food and drinks.
*Please note: the boats are rented without cushions and are suitable for groups of up to 35 people. Our boats are perfectly suited for hosting guests on King’s Day and offer a comfortable and presentable way to experience Amsterdam from the water. We booked a boat with Mokumboot as a team activity, and it was a nice experience. The whole trip was fun, relaxed, and very enjoyable. We had our own skipper, which allowed everyone to sit back, and enjoy the canals. The boat was easy to handle, moved at a comfortable speed, and felt very safe. What really stood out was the excellent customer service. The staff were friendly, supportive, and patient, answering all of our questions. Their response time via email and phone was impressive, making the booking process smooth and stress-free. The team member who assisted us at both pick-up and drop-off was also very kind and welcoming. Overall, we felt well taken care of from start to finish. The experience offered great value for money, especially for a group outing. A nice bonus is that you're allowed to bring your own food and drinks on board, which makes the trip even more enjoyable. Tip: The boat does not have an umbrella or parasol, so on hot and sunny days it's a good idea to bring sunscreen, hats, or other sun protection. Highly recommended for team events!

Available at any time with a reservation, unlike other companies that don't offer free access after 6 pm with the Amsterdam Card. Go for it without hesitation.
