King’s Day in Mokum, the city is buzzing, and the canals are glowing orange. And you? You have the best spot of all!

Whether you take the helm of your own sloop or relax on a luxurious boat with a skipper:
Skip the crowded streets and float through the orange festivities on your own boat.

We make it easy for you: rent a King’s Day sloop from Mokumboot for 6 people for €440 or hop aboard a luxury boat with a skipper for 35 people from €79.- per person.

Note: In 2025, King’s Day falls on Saturday, April 26. This is because King’s Day is never celebrated on a Sunday.

King’s Day might just be the best day of the year to hit the water. At Mokumboot, you can rent a sloop for 6 people for €440, and no boating license is required! You get to enjoy your sloop for the entire day, meaning you can celebrate on the water for 6 hours. Pick-up is available between 10:00 and 12:00, and after a short instruction, you’re good to go! Bring your own snacks and drinks and toast to the king.

King’s Day without a boat is like bitterballen without mustard. It’s possible, but why would you? Play it smart and celebrate like royalty from the water!

For anyone looking to rent a boat for a larger group without any hassle, we offer a luxury open sloop or tugboat with a skipper. These spacious boats accommodate 35 people and operate in two time slots:

  • Time Slot 1: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Time Slot 2: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
