How Mokumboot started
Mokumboot began with a simple idea: to share the joy of Amsterdam’s canals with as many people as possible. Back in 2009, three friends, Marcel, Martijn, and Michael, decided it was time to turn their passion into something more. They believed the freedom and beauty of boating through Amsterdam should be for everyone, not just the lucky few. Starting with a handful of boats and a lot of enthusiasm, they set out to make it happen. Today, Mokumboot is a beloved presence on the canals, offering self-drive rentals, guided cruises, and exclusive private tours, all infused with that same passion and purpose.
